Description

Air Fryer Buffalo Shredded Chicken is juicy, spicy, and ready in about 20 minutes! Perfect for sandwiches, wraps, salads, and easy weeknight meal prep.

Ingredients 

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 cup buffalo sauce, such as Frank's RedHot
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Optional: ranch dressing, blue cheese crumbles, sliced green onions, celery sticks for serving

Instructions

  • Pat the chicken breasts dry, then rub all over with olive oil. Season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 370 degrees F (188 degrees C) for 3-5 minutes.
  • Place the chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Air fry for 16-20 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
  • Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and let it rest for 5 minutes, then shred with two forks or a hand mixer.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the buffalo sauce and melted butter. Add the shredded chicken and toss until fully coated.
  • Serve warm with ranch or blue cheese dressing, green onions, and celery. Enjoy!
