Description

This easy air fryer bison steak recipe is perfect for a quick meal or a juicy steak in minutes!

Ingredients 

  • 2 bison steak, Rib Eye
  • ½ teaspoon salt, adjust to taste
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, adjust to taste
  • 2 teaspoons butter, unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, adjust to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes.
  • Season the bison steak generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder on both sides, ensuring even seasoning.
  • Place the seasoned bison steak in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the basket to allow proper air circulation. Place a pat of butter on each side of the steak.
  • Cook the bison steak in the air fryer for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time for even cooking. Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of the steak and your desired level of doneness.
  • Use a meat thermometer to check the internal temperature of the bison steak. For medium-rare, the temperature should read around 130-135°F (54-57°C), and for medium, it should be around 140-145°F (60-63°C).
  • Once the bison steak reaches your desired level of doneness, remove it from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. This allows the juices to redistribute, resulting in a more tender and flavorful steak. Serve hot and enjoy your perfectly cooked bison steak!
