Ingredients 

  • 1 fresh coconut , or 2 cups coconut flakes
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 330 degrees F (165 degrees C) for 3-5 minutes. Pry out the coconut meat and slice it into thin slices.
  • In a bowl, combine the coconut flakes with melted coconut oil, ensuring that the flakes are evenly coated. Sprinkle a pinch of brown over the coconut flakes and toss to distribute evenly.
  • Spread the coated coconut flakes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer. Air-fry the coconut flakes at 330 degrees F (165°C), set cook time for 5-7 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. Keep a close eye on them, as they can burn quickly.
  • Once the coconut flakes are golden brown and crispy, remove them from the air fryer and let them cool completely. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
