Description

Air Fryer Canned Carrots are amazing! This will soon be one of your go-to meals!

Ingredients

  • 15 ounces canned carrots
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons maple syrup, or butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your air fryer to 400°F (200°C). This ensures the carrots will start cooking and crisping up immediately.
  • Open the can of carrots and drain off all the liquid. Rinse the carrots under cold water, then pat them dry with paper towels. Removing as much moisture as possible is key to getting them crispy.
  • In a mixing bowl, toss the drained and dried carrots with olive oil until they're evenly coated. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and any additional seasonings like garlic powder or dried herbs, if using. Toss again to distribute the seasonings evenly.
  • Place the seasoned carrots in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding for even cooking.
  • Cook the carrots for about 4-6 minutes, shaking the basket every couple of minutes to ensure they roast evenly. The exact cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model and how crispy you like your carrots.
  • The carrots are done when they are golden brown and have reached your desired level of crispiness.
  • Remove the carrots from the air fryer and serve them hot. They make a great side dish for a wide variety of meals.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
