Ingredients 

  • 2 pounds chicken wings, separated into drumettes and flats
  • 2-3 tablespoons jerk seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt , or sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the jerk seasoning, olive oil, brown sugar, soy sauce, lime juice, minced garlic, freshly grated ginger, a pinch of salt, and a dash of black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients form a smooth, aromatic marinade.
  • Place the chicken wings in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the jerk seasoning marinade over the wings, ensuring they are evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or ideally, let them marinate for a few hours to maximize flavor.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Lightly grease the air fryer basket or rack to prevent sticking. Place the marinated chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook them in batches. Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 25-30 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through the cooking time.
  • The wings should be golden brown and crispy on the outside, and their internal temperature should reach at least 165°F (74°C). If needed, you can cook them for a few more minutes.
  • Once done, transfer the jerk chicken wings to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh lime wedges and chopped cilantro if desired. Serve them hot and enjoy the explosion of Caribbean flavors!
