Description

Making Baked Brie in an air fryer is a delightfully simple process that results in a deliciously gooey and elegant appetizer.

Ingredients 

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 ounces Brie Cheese, whole wheel
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons preserves, strawberry, apricot, or raspberry
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

  • If you're using puff pastry, roll out the pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  • Place the Brie in the center of the pastry.
  • Add your chosen toppings on top of the Brie.
  • Fold the pastry over the Brie, completely encasing the cheese, and trim any excess pastry. Seal the edges.
  • Whisk the egg and brush it over the pastry for a golden finish.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C). This ensures the Brie cooks evenly.
  • Place the Brie (wrapped in pastry or not) in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook for about 10-12 minutes if it’s just the cheese, or 15-20 minutes if it’s wrapped in pastry. The exact time might vary depending on your air fryer model. The goal is for the cheese to be melted inside, and if using pastry, for it to be golden and puffed.
  • Carefully remove the Brie from the air fryer and let it rest for a few minutes.
  • If you've used fresh herbs, add them as a garnish now.
  • Serve with crackers or slices of baguette.
