Ingredients 

  • 4 avocados, Ripe avocados
  • 1 cup all-purpose Flour
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 2 cups Breadcrumbs

Instructions

  • Start by slicing ripe avocados into wedges or strips, resembling the shape of french fries. Remove the skin and the pit.
  • In one bowl, place flour. In another bowl, beat eggs. In a third bowl, combine breadcrumbs with your choice of seasonings (salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, etc.).
  • Take an avocado slice and lightly coat it in the flour, shaking off any excess.
  • Dip the floured avocado slice into the beaten eggs, ensuring it's well-coated.
  • Transfer the avocado slice to the breadcrumb mixture and coat it thoroughly with breadcrumbs. Press the breadcrumbs onto the avocado to help them adhere.
  • Repeat the coating process for all the avocado slices.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes. This step helps ensure even cooking.
  • Lightly grease the air fryer basket with cooking spray or a drizzle of olive oil to prevent sticking.
  • Place the coated avocado slices in a single layer in the preheated air fryer basket. Don't overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if needed.
  • Cook the avocado fries for about 8-10 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time. The exact time may vary depending on your air fryer's model, so keep an eye on them to avoid overcooking. They should become golden brown and crispy.
  • Once done, remove the avocado fries from the air fryer and let them cool slightly for a minute or two. Serve them while they are hot and crispy.
