Description

Easy Air Fryer Recipe for Panko Fried Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups Panko breadcrumbs
  • Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions

  • Prepare the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Prepare the Shrimp: Clean the shrimp, leaving the tails on for easy handling. Pat them dry to remove any excess moisture.
  • Season the Flour: In a shallow dish, mix the flour with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  • Beat the Eggs: In another shallow dish, lightly beat the eggs.
  • Panko Breadcrumbs: Place the Panko breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.
  • Bread the Shrimp: Dredge each shrimp first in the seasoned flour, then dip into the beaten eggs, and finally coat thoroughly with Panko breadcrumbs.
  • Arrange on Baking Sheet: Place the breaded shrimp in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly spray or brush the shrimp with cooking spray or olive oil.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, or until the shrimp are golden brown and cooked through. For extra crispiness, broil for the last 1-2 minutes.
  • Serve Hot: Serve the shrimp immediately, optionally with lemon wedges and your choice of dipping sauce.

Equipment

  • Sheet Pan
  • Cooking Spray
