Description

Air Fryer Frozen Scones -- I recently picked up a Trader Joe's Mini Pumpkin Ginger Scones package and wanted to cook them in the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 8-10 frozen scones

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 320 degrees F (160°C) for 3-5 minutes. Some models may not require preheating, so refer to your specific device's manual.
  • If the scones are clumped together, gently separate them. Optional: Lightly spray the scones with a cooking spray for a more golden finish. You can skip this step if you're wary of adding extra oil.
  • Place the frozen scones in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Ensure they're not touching to allow for proper air circulation. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook the scones in batches.
  • Cook the scones at 320°F (160°C) for 15-20 minutes. The exact timing might vary depending on the size of the scones and the specific air fryer model.
  • Halfway through the cooking process (around 8-10 minutes), flip the scones or gently shake the basket to ensure even cooking.
  • The scones should be golden brown on the outside with a firm touch. If you're unsure, you can also insert a toothpick in the center of one scone; it should come out clean or with just a few crumbs.
  • Once done, carefully remove the scones from the air fryer (they will be hot!) and place them on a cooling rack for a few minutes.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional
