Ingredients 

  • 2-3 pounds Chicken wings
  • 2-3 fresh lemons
  • 2 tablespoons Freshly cracked black pepper, 2 tablespoons
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • Olive oil or cooking spray
  • Parsley, optional, for garnish

Instructions

  • Wash and pat dry the chicken wings using paper towels. This ensures that they crisp up well during cooking.
  • Zest the lemons and then juice them. Keep the zest and juice aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the lemon zest, freshly cracked black pepper, salt, and garlic powder.
  • Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss until they are thoroughly coated with the seasoning mixture.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Lightly grease the air fryer basket with olive oil or cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Place the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer in the basket, ensuring they're not overcrowded.
  • Air fry for 20-25 minutes, turning the wings halfway through, until they're golden brown and crispy. The internal temperature should reach at least 165°F (74°C).
  • While the wings are frying, in a small saucepan, melt the butter. Once melted, turn off the heat and stir in the fresh lemon juice. This mixture serves as your lemon-pepper butter sauce.
  • Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a clean bowl. Pour the lemon-pepper butter sauce over the wings and toss until they're well coated.
  • Transfer the wings to a serving plate. Garnish with parsley, if desired, and serve immediately.
