Ingredients
2-3poundsChicken Wings,
2-3tablespoonsJerk Seasoning
2tablespoonsSoy Sauce
Juice from 1 lime
2tablespoonsBrown Sugar
2-3Garlic Cloves, minced
1-inchpiece Fresh Ginger, grated
3-4Green Onions, chopped
Olive Oil or Cooking Spray
Salt, to taste
Fresh Cilantro or Parsley, for garnish, optional
Instructions
Marinate the Chicken:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the jerk seasoning, soy sauce, lime juice, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, and salt. Stir well to form a paste.
Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss them until they're well coated with the marinade. Make sure each wing is generously covered.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight for the best flavor infusion.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat setting, simply run it empty at the required temperature.
Prepare the Wings for Air Frying:
Remove the chicken wings from the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for about 10-15 minutes.
Lightly coat the air fryer basket with olive oil or cooking spray to prevent the wings from sticking.
Air Fry the Wings:
Place the marinated chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Cook for approximately 24-28 minutes, turning the wings halfway through the cooking process to ensure they are evenly cooked and crisped.
Check for Doneness:
The wings should be golden brown with crispy skin when done. You can also use a meat thermometer to ensure they've reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Serving:
Once cooked, remove the wings from the air fryer and place them on a serving plate. Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro or parsley if desired.
Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauce or as they are to enjoy the full jerk flavor!
