  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika, smoked or sweet
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes while you prepare the potatoes.
  • Prep the Potatoes: Peel the potatoes and cut them into even 1/2-inch cubes to ensure even cooking. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture, as this helps the potatoes become crispier.
  • Season the Potatoes: In a large mixing bowl, combine the potato cubes with extra-virgin olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss well to coat the potatoes evenly with the seasonings.
  • Air Fry the Potatoes: Place the seasoned potato cubes in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not crowded. You may need to cook them in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.
  • Air Fry in Batches: Cook the potatoes in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket or stirring the potatoes halfway through the cooking time to ensure even crispiness. The cooking time may vary based on the size of the potato cubes and the air fryer model.
  • Check for Doneness: The Parmentier potatoes are done when they are golden brown and crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Pierce a piece with a fork to test for tenderness.
