Description

Air Fryer Caramel Apple Danish is such a tasty and easy air fryer dessert recipe. If you have been looking for the perfect fall dessert, this is one of my favorites!

Ingredients

  • 3 Caramel Candies, Cut into pieces
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Apple Pie Spice
  • 4 tablespoons Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 4 ounces Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 1 Golden Delicious Apple, Can substitute any apple
  • 1 can Crescent Dough Rolls
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Caramel Sauce

Instructions

  • Start by chopping the caramels up into smaller pieces. Set them aside and chop the apple into small pieces as well- discarding the stem, core, and seeds.
  • Place the caramels, apple pie spice, and granulated sugar in a bowl.
  • Next, add the vanilla extract and the softened cream cheese to the bowl.
  • Add the chopped apple. Mix well with a spatula. Set aside.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees F, air fryer setting.
  • Then, line the air fryer basket with a piece of parchment paper.
  • Cut the crescent dough into smaller pieces (About five inches across or so, you can make them as big or as small as you like – this will determine how many Danish you end up with, though.)
  • Then form each crescent dough piece into round flat danish shapes, rolling up the edges a little like a crust. Place each piece on the parchment paper. You don’t want them to overlap or touch. (You may have to do more than one batch. I was able to fit four Danish in at a time. )
  • Place a heaping scoop of the caramel apple mixture right in the middle of each crescent dough piece.
  • Place the air fryer basket into the air fryer and “air fry” the Danish for about 6-8 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Once they’re fully cooked, remove them from the air fryer & allow them to cool for a few minutes.
  • Then, drizzle each with the caramel sauce.
  • Plate, serve, and enjoy!

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Cooking Spray
  • Parchment Paper, optional

Notes

  • These are super easy to make. They come out quickly with a soft, flaky crust & a creamy caramel apple center!
  • You can make 8 small Danish or 4 large Danish.
  • It really doesn’t matter what kind of Apple you use. However, the golden delicious variety works really well.
  • Try adding pecans on top for a variation on this yummy breakfast treat!
