There is nothing better on a hot summer day than an Air Fryer Cherry Crumb Pie. I love a great cherry pie, with a crumble topping, and with the Air Fryer. These are as simple as pie to prepare.
Ingredients
1package of Prepared or Homemade Pie Dough, enough for 4 mini pies
16ouncesCherry Pie Filling
3/4cupOld-Fashioned Oats
3/4cupAll-Purpose Flour
1/4cupBrown Sugar
1/2teaspoonsalt
6tablespoonsunsalted Cold Butter, must be cold
Instructions
Spray your pie pans with cooking spray, and then either using homemade or prepared pie dough, place the dough in and cover the bottom and sides of the pie pan.
Air Fry for 5 minutes at 300 degrees F, air fryer setting, Depending on which air fryer you own, you may need a set of pie weights so the dough does not fly away. Note: You are air frying only the pie crust so that the bottom layer gets fully cooked. If you skip this step, you will end up with a soggy crust.
In a small bowl, mix the old-fashioned oats, flour, brown sugar, salt, and butter. Mix until the topping resembles crumbles.
Add the cherry pie filling on top of the crust, and then sprinkle some of the crumble on top of the pie. Place back into the air fryer at 300 degrees F, air fryer setting for 4 to 6 minutes
