Description

Air Fryer Grilled Shrimp Skewers are a great and fun summer meal without even turning on the grill.

Ingredients 

  • 1 pound shrimp, (peeled and deveined, tail-on or tail-off, based on your preference). Fresh or frozen and thawed shrimp can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Optional Garnishes: Freshly chopped parsley, lemon wedges, or a drizzle of melted butter can be used for serving.

    Instructions

    • If you're using wooden skewers, begin by soaking them in water for at least 20-30 minutes. This will prevent them from burning in the air fryer.
    • In a large bowl, add the shrimp, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and pepper. Toss everything together until the shrimp are well coated in the seasoning.
    • Thread about 4-6 shrimp onto each skewer (depending on the size of your shrimp and the length of your skewers).
    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
    • Arrange the shrimp skewers in a single layer in your air fryer basket. Be careful not to overcrowd them; depending on the size of your air fryer, you might need to cook the shrimp skewers in batches.
    • Cook the shrimp skewers at 400°F (200°C) for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the shrimp are pink and cooked through.
    • Carefully remove the shrimp skewers from the air fryer (they'll be hot!)
    • Serve the shrimp skewers hot with your choice of garnishes, such as freshly chopped parsley, additional lemon wedges, or a drizzle of melted butter.
