Description

This is a great air fryer cookie recipe. My kids really enjoy Air Fryer Chocolate Sugar Cookies, and with the holidays coming up, I am pretty sure your entire family will love them!

Ingredients

  • 8 tablespoons butter, unsalted, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt, or sea salt
  • 4 tablespoons sparkling sugar, optional

Instructions

  • Start by spraying your air fryer tray with olive oil, or fit your air fryer with parchment paper and then spray the parchment paper (top side) with olive oil, so the cookies do not stick.
  • In a large mixing bowl, mix the butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
  • In another mixing bowl, mix the cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
  • Fold the wet mixture into the dry mixture, mix until well combined.
  • Use your cookie scoop and grab about 1 tablespoon of cookie dough, place on the air fryer tray or in the air fryer basket.
  • Then sprinkle the sparkling sugar over the cookies. Pressing the cookie dough flat.
  • Set for 5-7 minutes at 320 degrees F, air fryer setting.
  • When the time is up, let them cool before removing them because they will harden as they cool down.
  • Let the air fryer basket or tray cool down before adding more dough; otherwise, the dough will simply melt off.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Parchment Paper
  • Cooking Spray
