Description

Air Fryer Roasted Cashews are so good! If you have been looking for a great and easy way to make homemade roasted cashews in your Air Fryer, this is one of the best recipes, and it's so easy!

Ingredients 

  • 3 cups cashews, raw, half or whole
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt, or sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  • Pour the cashews in the smoked paprika, ground coriander, ground cumin, salt, and olive oil in a small bowl. Mix well so the coating gets on all of the cashews.
  • Start by spreading out the cashews on either an air fryer tray or in an air fryer basket.
  • Set the pan or basket into the air fryer. Set the temperature to 330 degrees F (air fryer setting) for 5 minutes.
  • Plate, serve and enjoy!

Storage, Freezing, and Reheating of Air Fryer Roasted Cashews


Storing:
  1. Room Temperature:
    • Once the roasted cashews have completely cooled, transfer them to an airtight container.
    • Store them in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
    • Properly stored, the cashews should remain fresh and crunchy for up to two weeks.

Freezing:
  1. Freezing for Long-Term Storage:
    • Ensure the roasted cashews are completely cool before freezing to prevent condensation.
    • Place them in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze for about an hour. This step prevents them from sticking together in clumps.
    • After they are individually frozen, transfer the cashews to a zip-top freezer bag, pressing out as much air as possible.
    • Label the bag with the date, and the cashews can be stored in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Reheating:
  1. Refreshing the Roast:
    • If you feel your stored cashews have lost some of their crunch or you want to warm them up, you can refresh them in the air fryer.
    • Preheat the air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
    • Spread the cashews in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
    • Heat for 2-3 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through. Be careful to not over-roast them.
    • Allow them to cool for a few minutes before consuming, as they'll regain their crunchiness.
  2. From the Freezer:
    • It's best to let frozen cashews thaw at room temperature.
    • Once thawed, if you wish to refresh their crunchiness, follow the above reheating steps.
