Description

Air fryer dehydrating is a great way to preserve seasonal produce like zucchini and create delicious dried snacks that you can store for months. Dehydrated zucchini chips are not just a healthy alternative but also make an excellent crunchy topping for salads or pasta dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium zucchini
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ranch seasoning, or garlic powder

Instructions

  • Slice the zucchini into thin slices using a sharp knife or mandoline. Try to make them as even as possible for more consistent results.
  • Spread the slices in the air fryer basket lined with parchment paper, in a single layer. Pat them dry with a paper towel to remove as much moisture as possible.
  • Note: If you are making these on dehydrator trays in the air fryer, lay them out, in a single layer on the dehydrator rack.
  • Place the baking sheet in the air fryer basket and set it to 375°F (190°C). Set the cooking time for 15-20 minutes, flipping the slices over halfway through. The time may vary depending on the size of your slices, so keep an eye on them and take them out when they’re done.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer, Air Fryer Basket or Air Fryer Oven, with or without a dehydrator
