Description

Air fryer BBQ Salmon is a delicious and easy way to enjoy a summer classic. This recipe uses the air fryer to cook the salmon, giving it a wonderfully smoky flavor with the added convenience of not having to fire up the grill.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon, filets, whole or sliced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt, or sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons BBQ Sauce

Instructions

  • Use a paper towel, and remove any excess moisture from the salmon. You can also remove the salmon skin if you want, that's optional, and will not affect your cooking time.
  • In a small bowl, add the onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper, and mix well. Rub the seasoning mix into the salmon, and then drizzle the bbq sauce on top of the salmon.
  • Place the piece of salmon into the air fryer basket, and set the cooking time for 7-9 minutes, Or when the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F, by placing the meat thermometer into the thickest part of the salmon.
  • Brush the piece of salmon with additional barbecue sauce, right before serving.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Cooking Spray, or Parchment paper
