I love gyros. I have always loved them. They are made with slices of beef, mixed with middle eastern spices, and either grilled or air-fried until juicy and tender. Today, I made a simple version of my homemade Air Fryer Beef Gyro.
Ingredients
1 1/2poundsliced beef
1tablespoonza’atar seasoning
1teaspoonsalt
1/2teaspoonblack pepper
1/2cupLabneh sauce or Greek Yogurt
1tablespoonminced garlic
4piecespita bread
Instructions
In a small mixing bowl, add the steak, za’atar seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well, coating the meat.
Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
Add the seasoned meat, and cook for another 5-7 minutes, air fryer setting.
In a small mixing bowl, mix the Labneh sauce and minced garlic.
Spread the garlic labneh on half of the pita, and then pile your cooked meat in.
