Description

I love gyros. I have always loved them. They are made with slices of beef, mixed with middle eastern spices, and either grilled or air-fried until juicy and tender. Today, I made a simple version of my homemade Air Fryer Beef Gyro.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pound sliced beef
  • 1 tablespoon za’atar seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup Labneh sauce or Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 4 pieces pita bread

Instructions

  • In a small mixing bowl, add the steak, za’atar seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix well, coating the meat.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for 5 minutes.
  • Add the seasoned meat, and cook for another 5-7 minutes, air fryer setting.
  • In a small mixing bowl, mix the Labneh sauce and minced garlic.
  • Spread the garlic labneh on half of the pita, and then pile your cooked meat in.
  • Fold over and serve.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
