Ingredients 

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts,
  • 8-12 slices bacon, 2-3 slices per chicken breast, depending on size
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese, or cheese of your choice
  • 1 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Start by slicing each chicken breast horizontally to create a pocket, being careful not to cut all the way through.
  • Season the inside and outside of each chicken breast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place a slice of cheese inside each pocket. If you're using herbs, add them inside or on top of the cheese.
  • Carefully wrap 2-3 slices of bacon around each stuffed chicken breast, ensuring the bacon covers most of the chicken. The bacon will help seal the pocket and keep the cheese from leaking out during cooking. Use toothpicks to secure the bacon if necessary.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes. This ensures the chicken starts cooking immediately for an even cook.
  • Place the bacon-wrapped chicken breasts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they don't touch each other to allow for proper air circulation.
  • Cook for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy. The exact time may vary depending on the size of the chicken breasts and your air fryer model.
