Description

This recipe for Caramelized Bananas in the air fryer is so easy to make and it's a great way to use up overripe fruit. The bananas are cooked in the air fryer until they are nice and caramelized, and then they are topped with a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Air fryer bananas make a delicious snack or dessert, and they would also be a great addition to your breakfast menu!

Ingredients 

  • 1 large banana, ripe
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar, or coconut sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Instructions

  • With the peel still on, cut banana lengthways straight down the middle.
  • In a small bowl, mix sugar with cinnamon.
  • Brush the cut side of the banana with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over banana halves.
  • Line air fryer basket with parchment paper and preheat to 400˚F, air fryer setting
  • Place banana halves into the basket and cook for about 6 minutes until brown and bubbling on top.
  • Serve hot with waffles, pancakes, Ice cream or porridge!
  • Plate, serve, and enjoy!
