Ingredients

Ikea Meatballs:

  • 12 ounces ground beef
  • 12 ounces ground pork
  • 2 slices sandwich bread
  • 1/2 cup onions, diced
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Gravy/Sauce:

  • 4 tablespoon butter, unsalted
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups beef broth, or beef stock
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  • Add the ground beef, ground pork, egg, onions, sandwich bread, and seasonings together in a large bowl.

  • While the meatballs are cooking, make the sauce for the Swedish meatballs. Add the butter, all-purpose flour, beef broth, and heavy cream to a small saucepan.
  • Simmer, continue to whisk, bring to a slight boil, and cook for another 8 to 10 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • To serve, place meatballs down on a plate, and drizzle them with the sauce.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
