Description

This is one of my favorite brownie recipes for the air fryer. There is nothing like an Air Fryer Chocolate Brownie Lava Cake.

Ingredients

  • 1 package brownie mix
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Prepare the Brownie Batter: In a mixing bowl, combine the brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  • Grease Ramekins: Lightly grease individual ramekins with cooking spray or butter to prevent sticking.
  • Fill Ramekins: Fill each ramekin halfway with the prepared brownie batter.
  • Add Chocolate Chips: Sprinkle a generous amount of chocolate chips into the center of each ramekin on top of the brownie batter.
  • Top with More Batter: Cover the chocolate chips with more brownie batter until the ramekins are about three-quarters full.
  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for a few minutes.
  • Bake the Lava Cakes: Carefully place the filled ramekins in the preheated air fryer basket. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is still slightly jiggly.
  • Cool Slightly: Remove the lava cakes from the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes. The centers should continue to set slightly as they cool.
  • Serve Warm: Serve the Air Fryer Chocolate Brownie Lava Cakes warm, either directly in the ramekins or inverted onto serving plates. Garnish with powdered sugar, ice cream, or whipped cream if desired.

Equipment

  • Air Fryer
  • Baking Pan
  • Cooking Spray
