Description

This is a great and easy meal. If you have not made steak in the air fryer it could not be easier, and tastier. For everyone who is afraid to make a steak, try it, once you make a steak, you will not cook it any other way. Today, I made a simple dinner of air fryer New York Strip Steaks with a Herb Compound Butter. (KETO and Low-Carb Friendly)

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 New York Strip Steaks
  • Salt, Pepper, and Olive Oil

Compound Butter:

  • 1/2 cup room temperature butter
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of oregano, parsley, rosemary, and thyme, fresh or dried
  • salt, and pepper to taste.

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, mix together the butter, lemon juice, fresh herbs, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  2. Place the butter onto a piece of saran wrap and wrap tightly, into a log. Then place in the refrigerator for about an hour, before serving.
  3. Take the steaks out of the refrigerator and season with salt and pepper. Then let them rest for about 30 minutes, before you place them in the air fryer.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F, for 5 minutes. Then add the steaks. Air fry for 5 minutes per each side.
  5. Let rest about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

The best way to really determine if your steak is done is to use a meat thermometer.

Simply insert the meat thermometer into the thickest part of the steak. Here is a chart that will help you–

  • Rare: 130 degrees F
  • Medium Rare: 135 degrees F
  • Medium: 145 degrees F
  • Medium Well: 150 degrees F
  • Well Done: 160 degrees F
