Description

Air Fryer Tomatillo Salsa Verde -- This recipe is for a tomatillo salsa verde that you can make in your air fryer. This dish will take around 30 minutes to cook, and if you love spicy food, this is the perfect meal! My favorite thing about this dish is how it tastes completely different than traditional Mexican dishes. If you're looking for something new to try out, go ahead and give this one a shot!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups tomatillos
  • 1 large poblano pepper, or jalapeno peppers
  • 1 medium onion
  • 5 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
  • 3 large limes
  • 2 teaspoons salt

Instructions

  • Add your Tomatillos, jalapeños, onion, 5 minutes, at 390 degrees F, air fryer setting.
  • Then add garlic, cook five more minutes, let cool for a few minutes.
  • Add all of the ingredients to a blender add lime juice, salt, cilantro, and a little water for whatever consistency you want.
  • Plate, serve, and enjoy!

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Notes

Tips:

  • If you want to adjust your spiciness or the hotness of the dish, leave some of the seeds from the peppers in, it will add some spiciness to the salsa.
  • You can easily swap out the poblano peppers for jalapeno peppers.
  • If you do not have to add lime juice, you can substitute it for water.
  • Shake your basket several times during the cooking process.
  • You can make this in an Air Freyr Basket or Air Fryer Oven Model. YOu can also make this recipe in a Ninja Foodi, Instant Pot Vortex, Instant Pot Crisp Lid, and Mealthy Lid. The recipe will work the same.
How To Blend The Salsa:
You can either use a blender or food processor to dice this salsa. Here are some tips:
Blender/Food Processor: You can make this salsa in a blender or food processor. Just pulse for a few seconds until desired consistency is reached!
Pulse at 30-second intervals and mix after each pulse to get a perfect consistency. Stop pulsing when it's the consistency you desire.
Thicker Salsa: If you want thicker salsa, reduce the amount of lime juice and water that you use.
