Description

Ingredients 

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts,
  • 1 cup chicken broth , or water
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Optional: additional seasonings to taste (garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, etc.)

    Instructions

    • Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
    • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings of your choice.
    • Pour chicken broth or water over the chicken breasts until they are partially submerged in liquid.
    • Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
    • Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and transfer it to a cutting board.
    • Use two forks to shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
    • Serve immediately or use the shredded chicken in your favorite recipes.
    • Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for future use.
