Description

These Oven Jalapeno Poppers are the perfect combination of spicy, creamy, and crunchy! Fresh jalapeno peppers are filled with a mixture of cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and spices, then baked to perfection. Ingredients 

  • 8 Jalapeno Peppers
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese, room temperature
  • 8 ounces Cheddar Cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 4 Slices Bacon, Cooked, and chopped
  • ½ cup Cornflake Crumbs

Instructions

  • Cut the jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes using a spoon. This step helps reduce the heat level of the poppers.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, grated cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  • Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeno half, filling them until they are slightly overflowing.
  • Sprinkle crumbled bacon, and cornflake crumbs over the filled jalapenos, pressing lightly to adhere the bacon to the cheese mixture.
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the filled jalapeno poppers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the jalapenos are tender.
  • Once baked, remove the jalapeno poppers from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy these deliciously cheesy and spicy treats as an appetizer or snack!
