Description

Air Fryer Baked Ziti -- Calling all pasta lovers and cheese enthusiasts! Craving that warm, gooey, cheesy goodness of classic baked ziti but short on time and patience?

Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound penne pasta, not cooked
  • 24 ounces pasta sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 cup panko
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted, unsalted
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Cook the ziti according to package instructions until just al dente. Drain well and return to the pot.
  • Spray your baking dish with cooking spray. Add the drained pasta to a large bowl, and add the marinara sauce, 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella, and 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese; add the Italian seasoning.
  • Transfer the ziti mixture to the saucepan and simmer for 1-2 minutes; fold in the rest of the cheese.
  • Add the panko, melted butter, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in a small bowl and mix well.
  • Sprinkle the panko on top of the casserole.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 330 degrees F (165°C) for 3-5 minutes. Once preheated, carefully place the pan in the air fryer basket. Set cook time for 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden brown on top. Cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model.
