Instructions
Start by peeling and cutting the potatoes into evenly sized chunks. This ensures that they cook uniformly.
Place the potato chunks in the Ninja Speedi's steaming basket. Add water to the bottom of the Ninja Speedi. Add enough water or broth so that the liquid covers the potatoes.
Set the Ninja Speedi to Rapid Cook, Steam/Bake, for 400 degrees F for 15-20 minutes. Or until the potatoes are fork-tender.
Add butter, milk or cream, salt, and pepper to the potatoes.
Use your potato masher and mash until you get the consistency of the mashed potatoes that you want. If they appear too thick, add more milk or cream until you reach the desired texture.
Taste the mashed potatoes and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if necessary. Blend briefly to incorporate any added seasonings.
