Ingredients 

  • 200 grams raw prawns, shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 piece ginger, grated
  • 1 stalk green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt, to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices white bread
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame seeds for coating

Instructions

  • In a food processor, combine the raw prawns, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onion, soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  • Pulse until you have a smooth prawn paste.
  • Trim the crusts off the slices of white bread.
  • Spread an even layer of the prawn mixture onto each slice of bread.
  • Sprinkle sesame seeds generously over the prawn mixture on each slice of bread.
  • Gently press the sesame seeds into the prawn mixture to ensure they stick.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (180°C) for a few minutes.
  • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or brush it with oil to prevent sticking.
  • Place the prawn toast slices, sesame seed side up, in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they don't overlap.
  • Cook the prawn toast in the air fryer for about 8-10 minutes or until they are crispy and golden brown.
  • Remove the prawn toast from the air fryer and let them cool slightly.
  • Slice each piece into triangles or rectangles and serve them hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as sweet chili sauce or plum sauce.
