Cracker Barrel Carrot Recipe --- Introducing a delightful copycat recipe that brings the flavors of Cracker Barrel to your kitchen! 🍽️

Ingredients 

  • 36 oz baby carrots, , washed
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt , to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Place baby carrots inside a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce to a simmer, cover with a lid and simmer for 6 minutes or until carrots are just beginning to soften.
  • Drain half the water from the saucepan. Add in butter, brown sugar and salt and stir. Place back on heat and simmer for another 5 minutes, or until carrots are tender but not completely soft.
  • Drain remaining water. Top carrots with a pinch of nutmeg and season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
