Description

Air Fryer Copycat Chick-fil-A Waffle Fries -- Get ready to satisfy your craving for that classic Chick-fil-A flavor right in the comfort of your own kitchen!

Ingredients

  • 1 pound russet potatoes, about 3 medium potatoes
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt , or to taste
  • 1/16 teaspoon black pepper, or to taste
  • 1/16 teaspoon paprika, or to taste
  • 1/16 teaspoon garlic Powder, or to taste
  • 1/16 teaspoon onion Powder, or to taste

Instructions

  • Start by scrubbing the russet potatoes thoroughly to remove any dirt.
  • Leave the potato skins intact for added texture and flavor.
  • Cut the potatoes into waffle fry shapes using a waffle fry cutter or a sharp knife. Aim for uniform thickness to ensure even cooking.
  • Place the cut potato fries in a large bowl of cold water.
  • Let them soak for about 30 minutes. This step helps remove excess starch, resulting in crispier fries.
  • After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained and dried potato fries with vegetable oil. Toss to coat the fries evenly.
  • In a separate bowl, mix together salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper to create the Chick-fil-A-inspired seasoning blend.
  • Sprinkle the seasoning blend over the oiled potato fries and toss them to ensure each fry is coated with the flavorful mixture.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for a few minutes.
  • Place the seasoned potato fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook them in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry the fries at 375°F (190°C) for approximately 15-20 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Shake the basket or toss the fries halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Once the fries are perfectly cooked, remove them from the air fryer basket and let them cool slightly.
  • Serve the homemade Chick-fil-A Waffle Fries hot and enjoy the sensational blend of flavors and textures!
  • Pair your homemade waffle fries with your favorite dipping sauces, just like you would at Chick-fil-A. Options include ketchup, Chick-fil-A sauce, or your preferred condiments.
