Description

Air Fryer Black Forest Cupcakes are the perfect dessert, and I love these because who doesn't love an individual dessert filled with chocolate?

Ingredients 

  • 15.25 ounces dark chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted and cooled (1 stick)
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup cherry pie filling
  • 1 1/2 cup Whipped Topping, whipped topping, thawed (i.e., Cool Whip)

Optional – 2 tablespoons miniature chocolate chips & 12 maraschino cherries with stems

    Instructions

    • Preheat air fryer to 375 degrees F, air fryer setting.
    • Add cake mix, eggs, butter, and milk to a large mixing bowl and beat for 2 minutes on medium-high speed or until well incorporated.
    • Grease 12 4-ounce ramekins.
    • Fill ramekins ½ of the way full with cake batter.
    • Top with 1 heaping tablespoon cherry pie filling.
    • Bake in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes. Rising is normal.
    • Let cool slightly, and top with spoonful whipped topping.
    • Optional – top with miniature chocolate chips & maraschino cherries.
    • Plate, serve, and enjoy!
