Description

Get ready for a flavor explosion like no other with our Air Fryer Taco Bombs!

Ingredients

  • 24 frozen dinner rolls
  • 1 pound ground beef, lean
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning, or adjust to taste
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese, Such as Cheddar Cheese, or Mexican Cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa

Instructions

  • Remove rolls from the package. Allow rolls to thaw for about thirty minutes or until soft enough to cut.  Cut each roll in half.
  • Spray a 24-count mini muffin tin with cooking spray, or place them in muffin cups, or a baking sheet. Place one half-sized roll in each spot of the tin.  Cover the muffin tin with plastic wrap. Allow rolls to rise. Place them in a warm spot for 2 hours or until they double in size. You can also place them in the fridge overnight.
  • Over medium heat, cook the ground beef (or your chosen protein) in a skillet until it's browned and cooked through. Drain any excess grease. Add the taco seasoning mix to the cooked meat and follow the instructions for adding water or any other required ingredients. Cook for a few minutes until the seasoning is well incorporated.
  • Take a thawed dinner roll and flatten it in the palm of your hand to create a small circle. Place a spoonful of the seasoned meat in the center of the circle.
  • Add a sprinkle of shredded cheese on top of the meat. Optional: Add any taco toppings you desire, such as diced tomatoes, chopped onions, or jalapeños.
  • Gather the edges of the dinner roll circle and bring them together to encase the filling. Pinch and seal the edges to create a ball or bomb shape. Make sure there are no openings for the filling to escape during cooking.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes. Lightly brush the exterior of each Taco Bomb with olive oil. This will help them turn golden and crispy in the air fryer.
  • Place the prepared Taco Bombs in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring they have some space between them. Set cook time for 8-10 minutes, or until the Taco Bombs are golden brown and crispy outside.

Equipment
