Do you love meat pies? I sure do! They are one of my favorite comfort foods. But, I don't always have time to make them from scratch. That's where the air fryer comes in handy! I can make a delicious meat pie in no time at all with my air fryer. And, the best part is that they turn out just as good as if I had made them from scratch. So, if you're looking for an easy and fast way to make meat pies, be sure to try out this recipe using your air fryer. You won't be disappointed!

Ingredients 

  • 1 pound ground beef, lean
  • 1 pound ground sausage, lean
  • 4 stalks green onions, or white onions
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 sheets pie crust, refrigerated
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted, and unsalted

Instructions

  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat Add the ground beef, ground sausage, and diced onions, to the hot skillet and cook until the meat is browned and crumbled. Drain, then place the meat back onto the skillet. 
  • Unroll pie crusts onto a wooden cutting board and stack them on top of each other. Use the lid of a mason jar or a biscuit cutter to cut circles for the meat pies. 
  • Scoop about 2 tablespoons of meat filling onto one side of the pie circle. Fold in half and use a fork to crimp and seal the edges. 
  • Brush meat pies with melted butter and sprinkle a pinch of pepper over the top. Add to the air fryer and cook for five minutes, at 330 degrees F.
