Description

These are so good, they taste amazing and only take a few minutes to prepare in the air fryer. If you are on a KETO diet, they are the perfect snack, I usually serve mine with guacamole. For a great and fun snack, the entire family can enjoy!

Ingredients 

  • 1 package salami, deli or sliced

Instructions

  • Spread the salami slices over the air fryer tray. Or in the air fryer basket.
  • Set the air fryer tray or the air fryer basket into the air fryer and set the temperature to 350 degrees F, for 3-5 minutes (depending on how crunchy you want them)
  • Place the salami slices on a paper towel, to absorb some of the greases.
  • Plate, serve, and enjoy!

Notes

  1. Room Temperature:
    • Allow the salami chips to cool completely.
    • Store them in an air-tight container, ensuring minimal exposure to air.
    • They should remain crispy for up to 3 days.
Freezing:
  1. For Longevity:
    • While salami chips are best enjoyed fresh, if you must freeze them, ensure they are cooled completely.
    • Place them in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze.
    • Once frozen, transfer to a zip-top freezer bag, removing as much air as possible.
    • Label with the date and store for up to 1 month.
Reheating:
  1. Refreshing the Crispiness:
    • If your salami chips lose their crispiness over time or after refrigeration, you can re-crisp them.
    • Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
    • Place the chips in a single layer and heat for 1-2 minutes. Watch closely to ensure they don't burn.
  2. From the Freezer:
    • It's best to allow frozen salami chips to thaw at room temperature.
    • Once thawed, follow the above steps to refresh their crispiness if needed.
    • Note: Always be cautious when reheating, as the salami chips can go from crispy to burnt quickly due to their thinness and already-cooked nature. It's best to check frequently and adjust the timing as necessary.
