There is nothing better than having a nice hot breakfast unless you have to make it. This one is easy, nutritious and my kids love it.
This is an amazingly easy recipe. Like with most recipes, I played with it for a while, until I really got a taste and quality that I would feel comfortable posting. I do not look to share recipes that aren’t things I would make again. Which, on the other hand, makes it hard to experiment, because my sons are always asking me to make the Minestrone Soup or Sesame Chicken again and again.
This is the recipe for the Instant Pot Users, who are looking for easy breakfast recipes. I have been working on making more and more in my Instant Pot.

This is absolutely fabulous, for a healthy breakfast, this is loaded with steel cuts, which is awesome to keep you going until lunch.
Substitute out the steel cut oats for Gluten Free ones, and this recipe becomes healthy for everyone!
- 1 cup Steel-Cut Oats
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups diced strawberries
- 1/8 cup sugar
Start by putting your butter into the Instant Pot.
Press the saute button.
Once the butter starts to melt, add the steel cut oats.
Then continue to "toast" the steel cut oats, you will start to notice a nutty smell that fills your kitchen. Toast for a few minutes, until all of the butter is melted and mix well.
Mix in the water
Set the manual high pressure for 5 minutes.
Make sure the vent is on sealed, otherwise your kitchen will have water all over it.
Once your Cooking time has completed, wait until it says L10 and then vent your Instant Pot.
Once pressure has been completely done, NEVER force an Instant Pot Cover off or any Pressure Cooker Lid off. You will cause permanent damage to the Pot and maybe yourself.
Open the lid
Meanwhile diced your strawberries
After you dice them all, put them in a small bowl. Drizzle the sugar over them.
Mix the sugar into the strawberries, so that the strawberries are well coated.
Stir the strawberries into the Oatmeal.
Plate, serve and enjoy!
