- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup steel oats
- 3 cups water
- 2 large apples (diced)
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup brown sugar

Start by placing the butter into the Instant Pot Bowl.

Press the saute button.

Let the butter slightly melt, before you add the steel cut oats. By toasting them in the butter, they will bring out a nice nutty aroma and taste

Continue to roast, until all of the butter is melted.

Then add the water.

Set the time for 3 minutes. on manual high pressure.

Let the Instant Pot do a natural release.

When the pressure has gone down and the lid is easily removed, remove the lid. Mix well.

Pour the steel cut oatmeal into a large mixing bowl.

Mix in the diced apples, cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, and brown sugar. Mix well.

Plate, serve and enjoy!
