Here is a very, very simple way to make Fried Chicken in your air fryer, and it requires three ingredients. Today’s recipe Air Fryer Kentucky Kernel Fried Chicken.
There are so many new air fryer seasoning mixes, my goal is to use them all. Today I used one of the most popular air fryer seasoning mixes, which is Kentucky Kernerl’s Seasoned Flour, which is a coating for chicken, chops, beef, seafood, vegetables, and gravies.
It was so easy to make, and my kids really enjoy their fried chicken. This is a great recipe and item to keep in your pantry, for a mid-week easy meal.

- As you coat them, add them to your air fryer basket.
- If you do not want white spots (a common question in our air fryer group), spray with olive oil sprayer, completely, until they are completely covered with olive oil.

Some Helpful Tips For Air Fryer Fried Chicken-
- Seasoning your chicken is important.
- If you are looking for a meal to make ahead. Most chicken dishes can be rubbed and then set into the refrigerator ahead of time. So, when you come home from work/errands/kids, etc., you can just place it in the air fryer, spray the chicken with olive oil spray and air fryer.
- Spraying the chicken with olive oil spray is one of the keys. I spray the heck out of, and I always get no white spots and tender (and way juicy) chicken.
- Always flip the chicken halfway, and then spray again. This way both sides are nice, light, and tender.
- Because eating uncooked chicken is unhealthy and can make you ill, I suggest you invest in a meat thermometer. Remember all air fryers are different, they all cook at different times.
- This is one of the tastiest and easiest chicken dishes to make in the air fryer.
