Instant Pot Rotisserie Chicken

Instant Pot Rotisserie Chicken

Instant Pot Rotisserie Chicken is amazing. If you love the grocery store Rotisserie chicken, you will absolutely love this recipe. It tastes almost like the same one that you will pick up at Costco.

Perfectly roasted and pressure cooked in less than 60 minutes, you will create the absolutely perfect chicken. Absolutely perfect roasted and seasoned.

All you need is a few key spices for the chicken, and you are on your way to creating the perfect dinner for your family. I love making one on Sunday afternoon and then using the leftovers for a couple of days. As it makes an amazing chicken salad sandwich, and of course, you can use the leftover chicken for chicken noodle soup in the wintertime.

INSTANT POT WHOLE CHICKEN

Making a whole chicken in the Instant Pot is incredibly simple.  It is also the perfect recipe if you just received your Instant Pot as it’s so simple and absolutely delicious. You will never make your roasted chickens any other way. So much better than oven-baked.

The hardest part of the entire thing would be to figure out how big your chicken needs to be to fit. Depending on the model you own, you can roast a chicken from 2 pounds (Cornish Hen) To 6 pounds. (8 Quart Model)

So, look around your grocery store, find out what size will fit, and grab one the next time you are at the grocery store. You will not be disappointed.

How To Make An Instant Pot Rotisserie Chicken

  1. As usual, clean and prepare the chicken (remove the extra parts from inside the chicken and wash with water, salt, and pepper).
  2. Put the chicken inside the Instant Pot (I added the lemon and onion into the cavity for extra flavor)
  3. In a small bowl, mix the oil and spices.
  4. Turn on your Instant Pot to preheat on the sauté setting.
  5. Coat the chicken with the oil and spice blend (only use 1/2)
  6. Place the chicken breast-side down in the instant pot.
  7. Then coat the bottom side of the chicken with the other 1/2 of the oil/spice mixture.
  8. The chicken should saute for about 5 minutes until the breast side is nice and browned.
  9. Then turn the chicken over, let brown for about 2 to 3 minutes.
  10. Return the breast side up, and remain there. Add your chicken broth.
  11. Set the timer (manual) for 25 minutes
