This is one of my favorite Dump Instant Pot Meals, which means that you add the ingredients and push some buttons and then come back to find a great and fabulous meal.
Today, I made homemade BBQ sauce, but if you look to make this even easier, switch out the homemade ingredients for a bottled sauce.
How Do You Make Pulled Pork?
Pulled pork is easy to make in the Instant Pot.
I usually start by seasoning my pork with a combination of brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper.
Season your meat, both front, and back, and then set aside while you work on the Homemade BBQ sauce.
To make your homemade BBQ sauce, add all of the ingredients to the Instant Pot bowl, and use the simmer function. All you need to do is add all of your BBQ sauce ingredients to the Instant Pot bowl and simmer while stirring.
Then you can go ahead and add your meat. Just remember to add the water, which will allow the Instant Pot to reach pressure.
Once the Instant Pot is done working its magic, you just need to remove your pork from the Instant Pot and shred your meat, add the BBQ sauce, and mix.
I usually make my BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches with a roll and a heaping serving of coleslaw on top! My kids absolutely love this, and it’s such an easy meal!
