Easy Homemade Pizza Dough is one of my favorite recipes since it is my grandmother’s, and it is so easy and simple and requires no proofing, so right after you prepare it, you can go right into making pizza!

As most of my readers know, I grew up in an Italian household, where both of my mother’s parents were born in Italy. So, I learned a lot about cooking from them, and one of them besides my Grandmother’s Homemade Bolognese Sauce, which I transferred to an Instant Pot Recipe, was this. (There are a lot more, but someone requested this recipe, so I whipped up a batch, ti’s easy and requires no proofing)

Here Is How To Make Easy Homemade Pizza Dough

Ingredients, Yeast Mixture:

  • Water
  • Sugar
  • Yeast

This is the yeast mixture, the water, sugar, and yeast. Mix it in a small bowl, and let it rest for about 5 minutes, or until you see the mixture start to foam. If it does not foam, do not continue because the dough will not rise.

Note: You need to use water between 105 to 115 degrees F. When the water is too cold, it will not activate the yeast. If it too hot, it will kill the yeast. If you are going to make many dough recipes, you might want to invest in a thermometer. (affiliate link)

Add Olive Oil, Salt and Flour

Once your dough is foaming, add the olive oil, salt, and slowly add the flour to the mixture. For this, you can either use all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour. Knead until the dough comes together.

Note: If you need more dough so it’s not too sticky, slowly add it tablespoon by tablespoon, until you have the correct consistency.

Then use your dough for your homemade pizza. I made this one in the air fryer, and it’s really great, and best of all, you got a really crispy shell.
