Use a pastry brush and rub the melted butter on top. Then sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar mixture on top of the butter. Then roll up the dough. Use a sharp knife and cut the pieces about 1/2 inch thick.

Place the cookies on the air fryer tray or in the air fryer basket (if you use a basket, you need to line in with parchment paper). Set the temperature to 320 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 6-9 minutes. The exact time will depend on your air fryer.

While the cookies are air frying, make the icing. Then let the cookies slightly cool, drizzle the icing on top, and sprinkle some of the cinnamon/sugar mixtures on top.

Pro Tips:

  • This recipe will work in any air fryer basket or oven model. This recipe will also work in the Ninja Foodi, Instant Pot Vortex, GoWise, Cosori, and even the Instant Pot Crisp Lid. The time will vary slightly by the air fryer you are using.
  • Try to cut your cookies all about the same size, so they call cook up simultaneously.
  • Check on your cookies frequently as they cook up, so they don’t go from raw to burnt. Cookies only take minutes in the Air Fryer, and they will harden as they cool.
  • Try to keep the dough cold, when you run a batch. Place the dough into a refrigerator.
  • You can use homemade or store-bought pie dough, the recipe will work the same.

PARCHMENT PAPER VERSUS NONSTICK COOKING SPRAY

Cookies cooked up in the Air fryer will need either parchment paper or a reusable silicone liner—otherwise, the cookie dough with fall through the holes in the basket or tray.

As I use my Air Fryer more and more, I have switched all of my recipes over to an air fryer silicone liner since there is no risk of fire. If you use parchment paper, make sure it’s adequately weighted down, and there is no risk of fire.

HOW CAN I REHEAT THESE COOKIES?

It’s been a long day at work, and you’re craving something sweet. You open the fridge to find leftover Air Fryer Cinnamon Roll Cookies from last night. The problem? You don’t know how to reheat them!

You can either reheat them in the microwave or air fryer, heat until warmed through.

FREEZER INSTRUCTIONS

You can either make these and freezer them or freezer them before air frying. I usually make them and then cut them and place them onto a baking sheet. Place the baking sheet into the freezer, and freeze until frozen solid. Remove the cookies and place them into a freezer bag and freezer container. They will last for about 1 to 2 months.

You can cook them from frozen or defrost them in the refrigerator overnight. Cook them from frozen at 400 degrees F, air fryer setting, for 5 to 9 minutes.
