I like mine charred. I once made them into chips; they were awesome but really, really crunchy, so if you like a crunchy snack. That is my recommendation.

What are Brussel Sprouts?

Brussels Sprouts are tiny cabbages; they are related to both broccoli and cauliflower.

They are found in the grocery store in two ways;

  1. In a prewashed bag.
  2. On a long, long stalk.

When you purchase them, you are looking for bright green heads that are relatively firm and heavy. This means that the leaves are packed. Any sign of discoloration should be avoided, so if you see any yellow or black spots (that is a fungus), avoid them.

Smaller Brussel Sprouts are actually sweeter than regular-sized ones.
