How to roast beets in the oven?

Roasting beets in the oven is a great way to cook them. It is easy, and you can do it on a cold winter day when you don’t want to wait for the stovetop burner. There are two ways that I like to roast my beets: one way is with some olive oil, salt, and pepper sprinkled on top of them before roasting them at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 45 minutes. Another option that I have done before is wrapping the peeled beet tightly in aluminum foil then putting it into a 400-degree oven for about an hour or until fork-tender.

The first time I ever made roasted beets was during Thanksgiving dinner last year because we had so many leftovers from our meal prep session earlier in the week!

How to use Roasted Beets

Beets are nutritious vegetables that are often overlooked because of their earthy flavor. They have many health benefits, so it’s best to get used to them! This blog post will show you how to use roasted beets in four ways: slathered with goat cheese and balsamic vinegar for an appetizer, mixed into a salad for lunch, pureed into soup for dinner, or served on top of pasta as the main course.

Seasoning Variations

Beets need minimal seasoning; some great combinations are allspice, cumin, ground cinnamon, black pepper, paprika, and caraway seeds.

Simple salt and pepper will bring out the natural seasonings of the beets.

Using Canned Beets

You can also use canned beets and roast them in the air fryer. Follow the directions, but make sure to drain the canned beets, before adding the olive oil and seasonings. The recipe will work exactly the same.

Do you have to peel beets before cooking?

Peeling beets might seem like a tedious task, but it actually only takes about 10 minutes. I’ve found that peeling before cooking is the best way to get rid of the dirt and grit on the skin so you don’t have to worry about any dirty hands touching your food later. The skin also has a lot of nutrients in it, so when you peel them you can save them for stock or other uses.

That would depend on how you are cooking them. When I air fry them up, I usually peel them, but if you are trying to roast whole beets, leave the skin on.

Can you store roasted beets?

I have a confession to make. There are times when I roast beets and then forget about them! And yes, they’re still good for a week or so in the fridge. If you want to store roasted beets even longer, all you need is some parchment paper and an airtight container. Simply wrap the beet tightly with parchment paper and place it in the container of your choice (I use mason jars).

How to reheat roasted beets?

Roasted beets are a great side dish for any meal, but what do you do with the leftovers? If you’ve ever wondered how to reheat roasted beets, I have some tips.

1) Put them on a micrrowave safe dish, and microwave on high for 8 minutes or until heated through.

2. Reheat in the air fryer, for 2 to 3 minutes at 350 degrees F, air fryer setting.

2) Add them to your favorite salad recipe as a topping or dressing.

3) Spread on toast topped with goat cheese!
