If you have not made steaks in the air fryer, you are so missing out. They come out amazing, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. Today, I made a simple Air Fryer Rib Eye Steak with Lemon Chive Butter.
If you are like me, once the fall comes, you put the grill away. This is a great and foolproof way to make steaks in the air fryer. I usually serve mine with quick compound butter. Today’s version was Lemon & Chive Butter, using stuff I had in the refrigerator.
Air Fryer Rib Eye Steak
Ingredients Steak:
- 2 Rib Eye Steaks
- 1 tablespoon Steak Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Ingredients: Lemon Chive Butter:
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lemon zest
- 1 stick butter, room temperature (unsalted)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 tablespoons diced chives
Simple Directions For Steak:
- Start by getting the meat at room temperature, leave it the rib eyes on the counter for about 20 to 30 minutes.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F for about 5 minutes. (air fryer setting)
- Rub your steaks with the olive oil, and then season with the steak seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
- Place the steaks into the air fryer for 9 to 12 minutes, flipping halfway during the cooking time.
- Check the meat with a meat thermometer for desired doneness.
- Let rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
- Plate, serve, and enjoy!
Simple Directions For Lemon Chive Butter:
- In a small mixing bowl, mix the butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, black pepper, and diced chives.
- Mix until smooth.
- Then place the compound butter into a piece of saran wrap and roll-up.
- Place in the freezer for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
