So, you have been following my blog for a while, you know, I’m all about real food for real people. Because, I don’t throw away food, I serve it to my family and friends. So, today, I wanted to show you a very simple recipe, which needs no introduction by me. It’s one of the most popular recipes, how to make a homemade chocolate bundt cake with ganache frosting. A true classic.
It’s a very simple recipe, all you need to do is spend a few minutes mixing up the cake ingredients and then pour it into a lovely bundt cake, this presentation of the cake is a show stopper and only you and me, will know it took you hardly any time.
If you want more homemade from scratch recipes, I have one for chocolate and one for vanilla. Both are equally awesome, although since I’m a chocolate person (really a chocolate lover, of all things chocolate), I would prefer the chocolate one on my birthday.
So, pick out your favorite cake mix. Then grab this fabulous Fat Daddio’s Pan, that is my absolute favorite and I use it both in the Instant Pot and Air Fryer (talk about double duty)
And remember to use a non-stick cooking spray to coat the pan, just as if you were making a regular cake. then follow the directions, and you will have a huge dessert hit at your next birthday party, function, or just as a great dessert in the middle of a hectic week.
I hope you and your family enjoy it!
A Word about Bundt Cakes—
Making a Bundt cake in the air fryer or Instant Pot (Pressure Cooker) is easy. You only need a few items and you should be all set to go. They look gorgeous when they are done, assuming you got yourself a good pan, and the cake did not stick to the pan. (Two of the hardest parts about baking, pressure cooking or air frying a bundt cake)
The real key to any great bundt cake is to purchase the correct pan. Searching the aisles at Target or Williams Sonoma, showed me a few options, the options at Amazon.com are limitless, below, I will share with you a few of my favorites.
The making company that makes Bundt Cakes is Nordic Ware.

There are a wide variety of shapes and styles, so do a good search and keep your eyes open. I am sure that you will find one that you fall in love with.
One of the reasons that bundt cakes work well in both the air fryer and Instant Pot (Pressure Cooker) is due to the hole in the middle, which allows the cake to cook evenly. You will not end up with a soggy middle, at the end of your cooking time.
The bundt cake pan is traditional cast in aluminum, due to technology advances you will now find them in both silicone and metal.
Bundt cake pans come in a variety of sizes, the size that you need will be based on the size (capacity) of your Air Fryer or Instant Pot. The larger the appliance you are using the larger bundt cake you can use.
You can also find mini bundt pans, above (are my favorite) and they will allow you to bake 2 or 3 in your air fryer, you will probably only be able to place on bundt cake in your Instant Pot, though.
Next week, we will continue on our Bundt Cooking Tips with how to prevent sticking, a very important topic, which will allow you to get the best from your air fryer or Instant Pot (Pressure Cooker).
Don’t forget to check out the recipes in the cake section of both the Instant Pot or Air Fryer.

Air Fryer, Lemon Bundt Cake
This is such an easy cake to make in the air fryer. The lemon gives this cake a great flavor. I love lemon in baked goods, I usually add a smear of cream cheese on top, and pair it with a hot cup of coffee. This makes an excellent breakfast or dessert.
