Pro Tips

Here are some pro tips to ensure your Air Fryer Strawberry Cake turns out perfectly:

  • Use Fresh Strawberries: Opt for ripe, fresh strawberries for the best flavor. Avoid using frozen strawberries, as they may release excess moisture and affect the texture of the cake.
  • Adjust Sweetness: Taste the strawberry puree before adding it to the cake batter and adjust the amount of sugar accordingly. Sweeter strawberries may require less added sugar, while tart strawberries may need a bit more.
  • Grease and Line the Cake Pan: To ensure the cake doesn’t stick to the pan, generously grease the cake pan with butter or cooking spray and line the bottom with parchment paper. This makes it easier to remove the cake from the pan after baking.
  • Avoid Overmixing: Mix the cake batter until just combined. Overmixing can result in a dense and tough cake. Use a gentle hand when folding in the dry ingredients to avoid overworking the batter.
  • Even Distribution: Spread the cake batter evenly in the cake pan to ensure it cooks evenly in the air fryer. Use a spatula to smooth the surface of the batter for a uniform appearance.
  • Check for Doneness: Keep a close eye on the cake towards the end of the baking time. Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake to check for doneness. If it comes out clean or with a few crumbs clinging to it, the cake is ready.
  • Cool Completely: Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before removing it. This helps the cake set and prevents it from breaking apart. Once cooled, transfer the cake to a wire rack to cool further.
  • Store Properly: Store any leftover cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2-3 days. If you prefer, you can refrigerate the cake to extend its shelf life, but be sure to bring it to room temperature before serving for the best texture and flavor.

By following these pro tips, you’ll be able to make a delicious and perfectly baked Air Fryer Strawberry Cake that’s sure to impress!

Faq’s

Can I use frozen strawberries for the cake? While fresh strawberries are preferred for optimal flavor and texture, you can use frozen strawberries if fresh ones are not available. Thaw the strawberries completely and drain any excess liquid before pureeing them for the cake batter.

How can I make the cake more moist? Adding yogurt, sour cream, or buttermilk to the cake batter can help add moisture and richness to the cake. Be sure not to overbake the cake, as overbaking can result in a dry texture.

Can I make the cake ahead of time? Yes, you can make the cake ahead of time and store it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days. Alternatively, you can refrigerate the cake for up to 5 days. Bring the cake to room temperature before serving.
