What Is An Apple Biscuit Fritters?

An apple fritter is really nothing more than a different type of donut. In contrast, the base is usually a yeast donut prepared with yeast, flour, and other common baking ingredients.

Today we replaced the base with a simple and prepared buttermilk biscuit. This really gave us a head start with this Air Fryer Apple Fritter!

The center of the apple fritter usually has canned or homemade apple pie filling, which adds a lot of flavors and gives it the apple in the apple fritter.

Instead of drizzling icing on top, I went for simple ground cinnamon and granulated sugar coating, adding more to the flavor of the Air Fryer Easy Cinnamon Apple Biscuit Fritters.

How Do You Reheat Them?

These Air Fryer Easy Cinnamon Apple Biscuit Fritters make for a great make-ahead breakfast that you can easily reheat.

So, after you make them, and consume what you want, place them into an airtight container. They will last for about 2 to 3 days at room temperature or place them up to a week in the refrigerator.

If you want to reheat them, either microwave them or place them into the air fryer basket for a couple of minutes at 350 degrees F, air fryer sitting. This will help warm them right before serving.

I don’t have a can of biscuits; what can I use instead?

This recipe can use any prepared dough, including frozen biscuits, dinner rolls, crescent dough, and cinnamon rolls.

I even used Costco and Trader Joe’s pumpkin rolls, and the recipe worked perfectly!

What kind of apples should I use for apple fritters?

While today, I used a simple apple pie filling from a can; you can use homemade pie filling.

Some of the best are baking apples. Since they hold their shape, I recommend using Granny Smith, Fuji, or Golden Delicious! They are great with this recipe!
